At 32 Jane suddenly decided she wanted to be an actor and headed for Middlesex University. Initially drawn towards physical theatre she started in mask shows with Trestle. Since then she has enjoyed working extensively with Told by an Idiot, also Scarlet and Brouhaha. Other companies include Clod, Volcano and Paines Plough. She was in Brand with Ralph Fiennes for RSC at Haymarket directed by Adrian Noble. She appeared in a one woman show Bag Lady directed by Roxana Silbert at the Edinburg Fringe, and Copenhagen directed by Elly Green. TV includes The Bletchely Circle, Hustle, Passer By, Murder Prevention, Dalziel and Pasco and Doctors. Films include Not Waving, Hello You, Love Juggling and Marigolds in which she starred. Marigolds was broadcast on BBC Shorts, and has been up for numerous awards most recently being the finalist in the Shooting People Festival film of the month.
