Martin has been acting for 25 years and trained at Guilford school of acting. He has just played Gendarme Rigaumon in the award winning feature film ‘Loving Vincent’ and before that played the principle role of Micky Mason in the feature film SINK. Additional film credits include: RITE
(BAFTA NOMINATED) DigiCult Productions, ALEX RIDE: OPERATION STORMBREAKER Samuelson Productions, REVOLVER Guy Ritchie, THE GREAT DOME ROBBERY Granada. Television credits include:
WAKING THE DEAD, ABOVE SUSPICION, MY FAMILY, HOLBY CITY, THE CATHERINE TATE SHOW, HOTEL BABYLON and many more! Theatre engagements include: AS YOU LIKE IT and A MAD WORLD MY MASTERS at Shakespeare's Globe, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM and DEAR BRUTUS for Nottingham Playhouse, CAR THEIVES for Birmingham Rep, ANTHONY AND CLEOPATRA for Chichester and Liverpool Playhouse and a National tour of The Ladykillers. At 6’3” and 17.5 stone, Martin has a significant presence both on stage and screen. That said, as with his performance in SINK, he is versatile enough to play the most sensitive and vulnerable of characters. A former professional sportsman, he played Rugby League for his country (Wales) and also boxed as a Professional in the heavyweight division. So if he fluffs his lines, it's probably best not to say anything!
