Mia was a member of Eugenio Barba's core acting ensemble at Odin Teatret in her native Denmark, as well as Teatrum Mundi and International School of Theatre Anthropology, performing in leading festivals and venues in 25 countries, including Ophelia in Ur-Hamlet at Elsinore Castle. Since 2007 Mia has worked in London and internationally and is the founder and artistic director of Riotous Company. As director and movement director, Mia's wide-ranging credits include large-scale performances in opera, theatre and dance both in the UK and internationally. In 2011 she received the Royal Philharmonic Society Award for her directorial collaboration on We Are Shadows. This summer Mia will be acting for Katie Mitchell in Pelleas and Melisande at the Aix-en-Provence Festival and in 2017 she will be appearing in Riotous Company's production Blixen - A Female Odyssey on the life and stories of Karen Blixen. Mia speaks English, Danish, Italian, Spanish and German.
