Originally from Leeds, James hung up his flat cap to move to London and train at East 15 Acting School. Here he completed the three-year acting course and discovered his love for naturalistic drama and comedy both on stage and on screen. His training, encompassing Meisner, Stanislavski and Michael Chekhov, instilled a solid work ethic both in and out of the rehearsal room and whilst on stage or set.
Since graduating, James has gained a wealth of experience as an actor and voice artist with credits spanning theatre, TV, Hollywood films, computer games and commercials. His natural comic ability is matched with an equally powerful talent for straight roles, making him immensely castable across all genres and platforms. Alongside performances on screen and at theatres such as The Southwark Playhouse, Park Theatre and Tristan Bates, James is a skilled voice actor with recent credits including Lego: The Hobbit (Warner Bros.), Chuggington (CBeebies) and Investec Derby (RSA Films).
