Pallavi Sharda is an Australian actor, predominately working in the Indian film industry. In a short span of time, Pallavi has become one of Bollywood’s leading ladies, having starred alongside A-list Bollywood actors such as Ranbir Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana. Pallavi has also starred in Australian comedy film ‘Save Your Legs!’ opposite Stephen Curry, making her the first ever mainstream Australian film actress of Indian origin.Pallavi’s strength is in her versatility. She transitions between playing western characters, to the urban Indian woman, and in her latest release Hawaizaada, Pallavi received critical appreciation for her portrayal of a courtesan dancer in 1890s Mumbai. Pallavi’s next role is her first foray into Hollywood - The Weinstein Company’s Lion - alongside Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara and Dev Patel. Pallavi is a classical Indian dancer by training and is well known in Bollywood for her vibrant dancing style. She was the lead actress in theatrical musical ‘Taj Express’, India’s first ever international touring musical. Pallavi has modelled for brands such as Pantene, Olay, Clear Shampoo, Nokia and Airtel and has appeared on Australian television shows such as Saturday Disney and Kids Warner Bros. A well known personality in Australia, Pallavi is an ambassador for India-Australia relations and works extensively in India with a number of charities and NGOs in the Indian development sector. She is on the board of advisors for eKutir, a social enterprise based out of Odissa in Eastern India.
