An Ulsterman born and bred - BJ started off as a musician touring the UK and Ireland. Then a director at the Ulster Actors company asked if he would play a singing part in a musical called The Rocking Fifties. Theatre work followed both in Ireland and the UK. While working in Scotland BJ trained at RSAMD - The rest as they say is history - TV, Film and Stage Acting work has taken him to many countries including an invitation to be a guest performer at the Byelorussian State Theatre staring in a much loved soviet era play “Threshold” against a Russian speaking cast. BJ also starred for ten years in a TV comedy called Give My Head Peace for BBC NI. Working on various film projects such as City of Ember, Game of Thrones, Frankenstein Chronicles and The Fall has helped BJ reach a wider audience. BJ has turned a few corners and entered a brave few doors but never once has he left those behind without a smile or a good word to say about him. The Hogg Motto; Dat Gloria Vires (A good name brings strength)
